Kitzbühel municipal works

In 1997 Kitzbühel Municipal Works invited tenders for a design competition for the reconstruction and extension of the municipal works buildings. Obermoser Planning Office won this competition.

The planned construction was implemented in 1998 and 1999. The existing Kitzbühel Municipal Works buildings were kept as far as was possible and integrated into the new construction.

In the design, a great deal of value was placed upon providing a clear functional separation between the operational area and the administrative area. The existing entrance (north-facing) was to be used solely as the operational entrance area. While on the south side a new entrance was constructed from the main road for the administrative offices.
